Post 8 - A subject you enjoyed studying this term

The rococo is a pictorial style of French painting and decoration from the last period of monarchy, used exclusively by the noble people of the kingdom, and that ended after the French revolution with the decapitation of the royals. I don’t like the idea of an artistic movement destined only to be used by a select group of privilege people, however, their pompous aesthetic, with a lot of pastel colors and lots of flowers is very pleasing to the eyes. On my class of History of Arts III we studied the rococo like an antecedent of what came after: the Modern European Art, and how it was a cause to the idea of a new vision for arts that seeks for overcoming the past and the memory of a monarchy, which makes it very interesting to study.
